Match Report – U20B vs UCT U20B

It was a fantastic day for rugby and both teams were eager to get started. The game started about 15 minutes late after the referee had an unexpected delay.

The boys from UCT drew first blood with a well executed play scoring in the corner. The conversion was unsuccessful. Uwe Geissler performs as the U20’s hold off Brackenfell

It was hot and field was a dust bowl which made it conditions look like an John Wayne movie-with both teams looking to impose their physicality on each other.

Derby Day 2017

The 140th Derby Day is tomorrow with a full house of fixtures and entertainment on the cards. With this fixture dating back to the 1800’s it deserves all the spotlight

Solid win earned at DurBell for the U20 A

With the last game remaining until the league goes on a break, the U20’s wanted to end off the first half the season with a victory against Durbanville – Bellville. The match was played under Friday night lights at very cold DurBell. We played a warm up game against them  before the season commenced and we knew they were going to be very physical and play with lots of speed and precision. Maclachlan helps the U20’s to bonus point win

After coming off four out of four wins, the U20s were keen to keep this winning momentum going forward to a tough encounter against newly promoted Brackenfell side. We knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game as we played them a few months ago in a
friendly match and the U20s managed to grind out a win in that game as well.
