Belhar Blues for 1st XV

The match at Hamiltons on Saturday was a humdinger as the game ebbed and flowed with both teams fighting for every meter they gained.
Belhar took on our pack and managed to neutralize our threat off set phase attack which forced the players to really pull together as they realised that they were in a battle against a side sitting in the top half of the SLA log.  Continue reading Belhar Blues for 1st XV

Second XV see off Belhar in style

On another beautiful day for rugby at Stephan way, the Hamilton’s 2nd XV carried on against Belhar where they left off against Brackenfell. Even with a week’s break between games they managed to keep the momentum. Continue reading Second XV see off Belhar in style

Dan bags 4 as Hammies 3rds march on

Daniel MacKenzie bagged 4 tries as Hamilton’s claimed another bonus point win against a much improved Belhar on Saturday.

Bouncing Back Against Belhar

Another 3 day turn around saw us travel out to Belhar on Saturday as we looked to bounce back from consecutive defeats.

A strong forward performance coupled with resolute defence saw us defeat a strong Belhar team in front of a vocal home crowd.

Caleb Rightford and Neil Cleghorn were superb as they took the fight to to a rampant Belhar pack and gradually gained the ascendancy.

We should have sealed the game  earlier however Belhar where efficient at the breakdown and  slowed and turned ball over in the first half.

Once we had addressed this we finished strongly outscoring them 3 tries to 1 to win 24 -15.
