It was de ja vu as Hammies 3rds kicked off once again at Brackenfell. Once again it was dry, hot and dusty conditions that greeted the players for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. 3rd XV with an opening season win over the Bay

Hammies 3rds powered their way to a hard fought 20 -7 victory over False Bay at Hamilton on Saturday.

On a dry warm day, the conditions were really good for running rugby and Hammies 3rd’s delivered a  big win for the club over the 2016 league champions.

Siya shines under the NNK lights

Hamilton’s 2nd XV put up another fine all round display of attractive rugby, scoring 10 tries to 1, on Tuesday at Parow under lights.

Johnson Double Sinks DurBell

Cometh the hour cometh the man as Ryan Johnson sinks the Durbell ship with a brilliant solo try ten minutes from the end as Hammies -“Seccies” continued their seasons winning streak with a passionate 25 – 13 home win against Durbell RFC 2nd team.  After conceding a sloppy first minute converted try against a very good Durbell outfit, the victory was all the better as we found ourselves on the back foot from the start and showed true guts and determination in a terrific win.

The intensity and drama unfolded early in the game when the appointed match Referee had to be rushed to ER with a suspected fractured ankle within the first ten minutes of the game. Craig’s fifer puts Hammies Seccies on Top!

Thanks to five try feast by winger Craig Pheiffer, Hammies-“Seccies” have gone top of the SLA – 2!

After scoring a hat-trick against Primrose a week ago, Craig Pheiffer was once again in great form as he scored five tries in an emphatic home win against UWC 2nd side. He has now scored 40 points (8 tries) in two outings and is only 8 points behind our goal-kicker, Lohan Lubbe who has scored 1 try, 20 conversions and 1 penalty in three league matches. Michael Badenhorst, better known by his team mates as “Red Mike” or “Kreef” turned on the heat with scintillating performance away against Primrose 2nd XV on Saturday 25 April 2015. Hammies vs False Bay – Pre Season Friendly

Preseason preparation for the 2015 WP Super “A” rugby season continued as Hamilton SP RFC – “Seccies”, 3rd and u/20 teams traveled to False Bay on Saturday 28 March 2015 and came back with three 3 wins. Our u/20 team without their WP Academy players defeated False Bay comfortably by 14 – 0, while the 3rd XV without several regulars, came back after being 14-5 down with a late rally in the last 15 minutes to defeat False Bay 3rd team 14-22.
